"Across America, people are being let go in meetings that last less than ten minutes — and then finding out that the door behind them has closed too. A nursing-home worker who walked in at 6 a.m. and was told to grab her bags before 10:15, with HR admitting there was no reason given. A woman laid off twice in two years, whose safety net was already spent on the first one. A product manager at Meta who refreshed his email every minute at 7 a.m. and got logged out of every single app at 7:10, before the letter even arrived. A woman who watched half of her engineering team disappear in one regional decision made "way above my pay grade." Then you will hear what comes after. Ten years of experience and 200 applications. Fifty first-round interviews. Twenty second and third rounds. Rejected by McDonald's for being overqualified. Rejected by Starbucks. Rejected by Target's AI screening.
