"Surviving The Cost Of Living Crisis: What You Need To Know Now"

"Surviving The Cost Of Living Crisis:
What You Need To Know Now"
"Everything costs more right now - rent, groceries, gas, insurance. And when the paycheck lands, a lot of people do the math and find there's nothing left over. This is what I'm actually doing about it. I'm not going to pretend I'm struggling. I have an emergency fund, investments, and other income. But even from a stable spot, these four changes are how I'm cutting back - so I'm in a better position later than I am today. No dramatic lifestyle overhaul. Just small moves that add up.

Cancel the subscriptions you don't use. I'm not paying for Peacock, Paramount, HBO, Netflix, Hulu, and Prime all at once. You don't need them, and neither do your kids. Stop driving as much. With gas where it is, stop making four separate trips. Gas at the grocery store = one trip doing two things. Tell whoever you're picking up to meet you there. Drop to a slower internet plan. A friend of mine was paying for the fastest service he could get - and he no longer needed it. Downgrading saved him about $30 a month and it's still more than fast enough for streaming and normal use. Buy store brands. Skip the Kraft mac and cheese for the store brand. Skip the individual Gatorade bottles for the powder you mix yourself. In many cases it's the exact same product. It won't taste identical - but the savings are real."
