"Get Ready For Bankruptcies To Explode!
Private Equity is Failing"
"Companies are going bankrupt, and a lot of them were bought by private equity first. In this video the people on the inside tell what happened, in their own words: vendors who were never paid, small business owners who lost everything, staff at a store in the middle of a bankruptcy, and nurses and dentists watching private equity take over. Private equity firms buy companies with borrowed money and load the debt onto the business. Then come the cuts, the cheaper supplies and the higher prices. When sales drop, the payments keep coming, and the company files. The firm moves on. The workers, the suppliers and the towns are left with the damage.
What this video covers: • A Painted Tree vendor left stranded when the company went bankrupt .• A small business owner forced to file after four years of building. • A multi-million dollar retail store that ended in Chapter 7 and let its staff go. • A Neiman Marcus employee's exit interview during the bankruptcy. • Private equity buying hospitals, stripping them, and closing them. • Private equity taking over dental offices and pushing overcharging. • Why one owner dissolved his business during bankruptcy. • What this wave of corporate bankruptcies means for working families. Every clip is a real person, filmed on their own phone, in their own words. Nothing here is staged. Do you work for a company owned by private equity? Tell us what changed below."
