"Evictions Are Spreading All Over America
And Renters Are Panicking!"
"Families are getting evicted, and it starts with a notice on the door and a few days to come up with money they don't have. In this video, renters show it from their side: a three-day eviction notice after a Category 5 hurricane shut her job for five days, five days to pay $3,000 in back rent or get out, a constable's 24-hour notice to leave with her kids, rent that jumped from $1,000 to $1,300 a month, a judge who approved an eviction over a few days late, and a mother packing a storage unit with her 13- and 10-year-old with nowhere to go. We look at how fast an eviction moves once the rent falls behind, what it costs a family to be put out, and how to cut household costs before the notice comes."
