"The State Fair Is A Ghost Town
Because It's Too Expensive"
"The state fair has turned into a ghost town, because it's simply too expensive for families now. In this video, Americans show it from their side: a county fair trip that ended up costing $1,000, $199.50 for six wristbands, a $25 burger that made one Texan quit the State Fair for good, $150 to win a single stuffed animal, unlimited ride bracelets that quietly expired at 9 p.m., a $781 day at the fair, a $24 turkey leg that was a disaster, $14 fried Oreos, a $9 corn dog, a family of five paying $120 before they even walk in, a $5 Foodie Friday deal that only ran until 6, $18 Twinkies, and $13 fried apples you could make at home."
