"A Second Major Winter Storm Is About To Slam Again"
"A powerful second winter storm is forming - and it could be worse than the first. Meteorologists are closely monitoring a rapidly intensifying Miller Type-A coastal storm that is expected to track directly along the East Coast, targeting the I-95 corridor from Washington DC to Boston. This system is developing in the Gulf of Mexico and is projected to undergo rapid intensification (bombogenesis) as it moves up the Atlantic coastline.
Unlike the previous storm, this one has nowhere to go. A strong Greenland Block and Omega Block pattern are forcing the storm to stay pinned to the coast, increasing the risk of heavy snowfall, blizzard conditions, whiteouts, damaging winds, and prolonged power outages. With Arctic air already in place, snowfall could pile up quickly due to extremely high snow-to-liquid ratios.
This storm is arriving while hundreds of thousands are still without power, making this a potentially dangerous “second hit” winter event. Areas of concern include: Washington DC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York City, Boston, and surrounding Mid-Atlantic & Northeast regions. Stay informed, stay prepared, and take this storm seriously."
