I know this is a wildly unpopular idea, but if the car manufacturers actually made affordable cars, life would be much better.
ReplyDeleteI don't want one with 50+ cameras, 25 computers, a fully stocked bar, and the kitchen sink. I don't want any variant of self driving. I don't want an entertainment center, satellite radio, or phone home GPS technology.
Just give it basic gauges and a power port. Make it reliably get from point A to point B. And make it affordable.
I'm willing to sacrifice miles per gallon for miles per fill-up. Who ever makes it will have a best seller on their hands. I ca see it in sedan, minivan, and pickup truck format.
Until then, I'll stick with my 10 year old vehicle with 250K miles.
