The Poet: James Broughton, "Quit Your Addiction"
"Quit Your Addiction"
"Quit your addiction
to sneer and complaint.
Try a little flaunt,
Call for comrades
who bolster your vim
and offer you risk.
Corral the crones,
Goose the nice nellies,
Hunt the bear that hugs
and the raven that quoths.
Stay up all night
to devise a new dawn..."

"Ways We Numb Ourselves - Emerging from the Grey"
"Ways We Numb Ourselves - Emerging from the Grey"
by Madisyn Taylor
"Numbing yourself prevents you from confronting your issues and keeps you from ever finding resolution or peace. We are born equipped to experience a complex array of diverse emotions. Many of us, however, are uncomfortable confronting our most powerful emotions. We may shy away from delight and despair and deny life's colors by retreating into a world of monotone grey. We may numb ourselves to what we are truly feeling. It's easier to suppress our emotions than to deal with them, so we may momentarily turn to pleasures such as alcohol, food, sugar, shopping and too much television. We may even numb our hearts. While it's normal to temporarily seek distractions as a means of coping with intense emotions, numbing yourself prevents you from confronting your issues and keeps you from ever finding resolution or peace. When you are numb, there is no pain or powerlessness, but there can also be no joy or healing.
The activities that numb you may seem harmless or pleasurable, but using them to numb yourself diminishes the quality of your life. Numbing yourself so that you don't have to feel intense emotions can often satisfy a surface need while blocking your awareness of a deeper need. You may find solace in food or shopping when what you really need is spiritual nourishment. The less you feel, the less alive you feel. Your feelings add vividness to your experiences and serve to connect you to the world around you. It is possible to disavow yourself of numbing behaviors a little at a time and once again taste life's rich flavors. When you sense that you are engaging in a particular behavior simply to deaden your emotions, stop and ask yourself why. Examining the feelings that drive you to numb yourself can help you understand what is triggering your desire to emotionally fade out.
With each numbing activity that you cut out of your life, you'll find yourself being more aware and experiencing a greater emotional acuity. Senses once shrouded by the fog of numbness become sharp and acute. Traumas and pain long hidden will emerge to the forefront of your consciousness and reveal themselves so that you can heal them. You'll discover a deeper you - a self that is comfortable experiencing and working through intense emotions with courage and grace."

"In These Downbeat Times...
"In these downbeat times, we need as much hope and courage as we do vision and analysis; we must accent the best of each other even as we point out the vicious effects of our racial divide and pernicious consequences of our maldistribution of wealth and power. We simply cannot live in the twenty-first century at each others throats, even as we acknowledge the weighty forces of racism, patriarchy, economic inequality, homophobia, and ecological abuse on our necks. We are at a crucial crossroad in the history of this nation - and we either hang together by combating these forces that divide and degrade us or we hang separately. Do we have the intelligence, humor, imagination, courage, tolerance, love, respect, and will to meet the challenge? Time will tell. None of us alone can save the nation or world. But each of us can make a positive difference if we commit ourselves to do so."

Bill Bonner, "A Visit to Jersey"
"A Visit to Jersey"
We went to visit a friend,
and stayed the weekend to visit the island.
by Bill Bonner
Youghal, Ireland - "The sun shone hot. The palm trees swayed. And the beaches glistened. But this was not some tropical island paradise. This was Jersey, a ‘tax haven’ island in the English Channel. It reminded us of Bermuda - with vaguely similar architecture, topography, flora and people. Even the English accents were familiar. We went to visit a friend, and stayed the weekend to visit the island.
The idea of a ‘tax haven’ is slightly antique. Americans are taxed on worldwide income; there is no ‘haven’ from it. Still, as evidenced by the number of blue blazers that got on the plane in London, Jersey’s fund managers and trust administrators do a lively business, perhaps mostly for non-American clients.
Not interested in the Channel Islands? We didn’t think so. But we’ll tell you about them anyway, and we’ll include a real hero in the story. This group of islands, off the north coast of France, are ‘crown dependencies’ of England. They are small; Jersey measures only five miles wide by nine miles long. They are not part of the UK, nor of the Commonwealth, nor of the EU.
The islands first came into the history books during the Roman era. They may or may not have been garrisoned by Roman troops, but they are mentioned by Rome’s historians and Roman era coins have been found. Much later, the same people who conquered England in 1066...along with Southern Italy and Sicily - the Normans - also took over the small islands off the French coast. Then, in the 13th century the English and the Normans parted company. Ever thereafter, the Islands - Jersey, Guernsey and Sark - remained with England, though not under the control of parliament.
A visit to the cemeteries adds a nuance. Jersey may have been “English” since 1204, but the people spoke a dialect of Old Norman French - Jerriais - up until the 19th century. “We really didn’t have much to do with England,” said a jolly woman performing a bit of ‘living history.’ That is, she was dressed in 17th century fashion...and seated at a 17th century table in a 17th century farmhouse. The visitor was invited to see how people actually lived back then.
Not too bad, was the impression we took away. There were sheep in the meadow and cows in the corn. And all around - inside the houses and outside in the yards - chickens wandered about, many of the hens scratching the earth to show their chicks how it was done.
This ‘living farm’ was one of many historical attractions on the island. There is also one of the best preserved ‘passage graves’ in Europe, dating to the Neolithic period. There are churches from every stage of Christendom...a prehistoric cave dwelling...and a museum with a display (not the real thing) of the biggest cache of ancient Celtic coins ever discovered. The coins seem to have been buried to avoid confiscation. The rightful owners must have figured they could hide their treasure in the ground and come back for it later. Why didn't they come back? Most likely they were slaughtered by the invaders. Their money survived; they probably didn’t.
Our 17th century milkmaid continued: “We are much closer to France than to England. Taking a boat to England was treacherous. You had to cross the channel. Much easier to go to France to trade. But then, when the steam engine came along, it was easy for us to get to England and easy for the English to get to us. Even my own grandparents still spoke Jerriais. But I don’t speak it. Almost nobody does. We picked up the English language, drinking tea, and eating scones. We’ve become very English.”
Jersey’s Englishness was tested in WWII. After the British fled the beach at Dunkirk, it was widely assumed that Britain would soon surrender. But it didn’t give in. The bombing of London merely stiffened English resistance.
But there was one part of England that was very much within Hitler’s grasp - the Channel Islands. He sent bombers against Jersey and Guernsey and let loose on the harbors. Neither island was defended...and neither had any intention of putting up a fight. One old man apparently put a pair of underpants on a pole and waved it around as a sign of surrender...and the Germans marched in.
But the Huns didn’t unleash a devil’s picnic of raping, looting and murder. Instead, they were orderly and polite, as illustrated by a handsome aristocrat - Baron Hans Max Freiherr von Aufsess - who acted as a coordinating officer between the German command and the local authorities. It was in some ways a model for a military occupation. The occupiers were civilized. The occupied took their station with grace and dignity. So comfortable were they, one with another, that this turned into a bone of contention after the war. Some observers claimed that the islanders should have put up more of a fight. They “did not fight on the beaches, in the fields or in the streets,” wrote Madeleine Bunting. “They did not commit suicide, and they did not kill any Germans.” Ms. Bunting pined for fighting heroes. She wanted blood. As it turned out, there was plenty of blood...but from neither the occupied nor the occupier. And the real hero didn’t fight at all.
The museums showcase the way the islanders tried to keep up with the news by radio (verboten!) or dared to undermine the German war effort in vain and petty ways. But those who suffered most were neither the Germans nor the islanders. Hitler had decided that the islands could serve as vital keystones in the ‘Atlantic Wall’ which was meant to keep the allies out. Respecting the Geneva Convention taboo on forcing enemy civilians to work, the Germans brought over thousands of Russian prisoners of war, Jews, Eastern Europeans, and Spaniards to dig, hammer, pound, and tote. More than a thousand of them died from overwork under nourishment.
But there is scarcely any mention of these slave laborers in the museums or the public monuments - at least not the ones we saw. Of the thousands of them, only one is even remembered by name, a young Russian pilot named Fyodor Buriy (nicknamed Bill). He had escaped the labor camp and was hidden by an island woman named Louisa Gould. Her own son had enlisted in the British navy and been killed in the war. She was determined to protect ‘another woman’s son’ from a similar fate.
‘Bill’ survived and made his way back to the Soviet Union. But Mrs. Gould was ratted out (probably by a neighbor) and was sent to Ravensbruck concentration camp, where she died. Twenty years after the war, ‘Bill’ published a notice in the Jersey newspaper thanking all those who had helped him escape. His ‘heart was heavy,’ he said, thinking of Mrs. Gould, who ‘was like a mother’ to him."

The Economic Crisis Unfolding"
"Stores are closing at record levels in 2025, and the numbers are shocking! Nearly 6,000 retail locations have already shuttered their doors this year, with no signs of slowing down. From convenience stores like 7-Eleven and Circle K to big names like Levi's and Kraft Heinz, the retail landscape is undergoing massive changes. What’s driving these closures? Inflation, high interest rates, and shifting consumer behavior are just the beginning. This also impacts food insecurity, real estate, home buying, and even job stability. I break it all down in today’s video and share insights into how this economic shift is affecting everyday Americans."

"New CV19 Vax Betrayal by RFK Jr."
b y Greg Hunter’s USAWatchdog.com
"Karen Kingston is a biotech analyst and former Pfizer employee who was on the cutting-edge warning people from the beginning of the dangers of the dreaded CV19 so-called “vaccine.” Kingston was one of the first to tell people that the CV19 vax was literally a bioweapon, and the mRNA synthetic technology in it still makes it so. She talked about all the deaths and diseases it would cause and is still causing such as blood clotting, heart disease, auto immune disease and turbo cancers, to name a few. The Trump Administration FDA admitted in court it knew the CV19 shots were brought to the market despite fraud in the drug trials, and it did not care. The FDA announced this past week that it approved a new CV19 vax that babies as young as six months old will be injected with. I asked if she was shocked, and Kingston said, “This is not shock. It’s betrayal is what it is because when we look at RFJ Jr. and the six years prior to becoming Secretary of Health and Human Services he was promising to have accountability. He promised to put safety first and safety of the children first. He was going to look at not only the (CV19) mRNA shots but all vaccines and get really good solid data to evaluate the safety and danger profiles. So, it feels like a big betrayal.”
There was a little good news that broke this weekend, and that was the DOJ dropping all charges against Dr. Kirk Moore. He was charged with destroying $28,000 of CV19 vaccines. Congress woman Marjory Taylor Greene pushed the DOJ to drop the charges and said, “Dr. Kirk Moore was targeted by a weaponized government because he refused to inject an experimental vaccine into people who didn’t want it.” Stories like this with a happy CV19 bioweapon vax ending are rare, and millions have been killed by the CV19 vax and many millions more are permanently disabled. This is now a well-established scientific fact backed up by mountains of data and peer reviewed medical studies. Kingston says, “Nobody should be taking any mRNA shots.”
What America is going to be getting are more of these man-made pandemics with so-called Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) vaccines, made up ahead of time, to inject the sick. Kingston contends this is really more of the transhumanism agenda, where they need an excuse to inject humans with more nanoparticle technology. Kingston says, “I think this is not about us being augmented by AI (Artificial Intelligence). Probably the end goal is for us to be an energy source for AI. That would explain this anti-human movement. This is why we are being treated as less than an animal. People are literally being criminally experimented on, disabled, diseased, distressed and some are being murdered. We don’t treat animals that way in America, but that is how humans are being treated. Again, it would appear that we are being treated as an energy source for AI technology in humans. Also, at the end of June, the US Department of Agriculture launched a huge bio-digital surveillance for all of America’s livestock. Congress backed this up. Congress wants more experimental vaccines. This is going to devastate our food supply.”
For anyone who is CV19 vaxed and thinks they would not suffer consequences, think again. Many will suffer from the CV19 injections as it is a confirmed bioweapon. Kingston says, “I quote the recent Yale study that says 700 days after your last CV19 shot, people are still producing spike proteins. This was self-amplifying mRNA. It’s these nanoparticles that get into your body and act as biosynthetic viruses, and you turn into a bioweapons factory. This was all over Pfizer’s documents.” There is much more in the 54-minute interview.

This has been called "the greatest organized mass-murder in the history
of the world." And it is. God help you if you've taken this injection...

"World War III Has Already Begun"
"World War III Has Already Begun"
In the West’s eyes, Russia must be destroyed.
That leaves us no choice.
by Dmitry Trenin
"Many now speak of humanity’s drift towards World War III, imagining events similar to those of the 20th century. But war evolves. It will not begin with a June 1941 Barbarossa-style invasion or a Cuban Missile Crisis-style nuclear standoff. In fact, the new world war is already underway – it’s just that not everyone has recognized it yet.
For Russia, the pre-war period ended in 2014. For China, it was 2017. For Iran, 2023. Since then, war – in its modern, diffuse form – has intensified. This is not a new Cold War. Since 2022, the West’s campaign against Russia has grown more decisive. The risk of direct nuclear confrontation with NATO over the Ukraine conflict is rising. Donald Trump’s return to the White House created a temporary window in which such a clash could be avoided, but by mid-2025, hawks in the US and Western Europe had pushed us dangerously close again.
This war involves the world’s leading powers: the United States and its allies on one side, China and Russia on the other. It is global, not because of its scale, but because of the stakes: the future balance of power. The West sees the rise of China and the resurgence of Russia as existential threats. Its counteroffensive, economic and ideological, is meant to put a halt to that shift.
It is a war of survival for the West, not just geopolitically but ideologically. Western globalism – whether economic, political, or cultural – cannot tolerate alternative civilizational models. Post-national elites in the US and Western Europe are committed to preserving their dominance. A diversity of worldviews, civilizational autonomy, and national sovereignty are seen not as options, but as threats.
This explains the severity of the West’s response. When Joe Biden told Brazil’s President Lula that he wanted to “destroy” Russia, he revealed the truth behind euphemisms like “strategic defeat.” Western-backed Israel has shown how total this doctrine is – first in Gaza, then Lebanon, and finally Iran. In early June, a similar strategy was used in attacks on Russian airfields. Reports suggest US and British involvement in both cases. To Western planners, Russia, Iran, China and North Korea are part of a single axis. That belief shapes military planning.
Compromise is no longer part of the game. What we’re seeing are not temporary crises but rolling conflicts. Eastern Europe and the Middle East are the two current flashpoints. A third has long been identified: East Asia, particularly Taiwan. Russia is directly engaged in Ukraine, holds stakes in the Middle East, and may become involved in the Pacific.
The war is no longer about occupation, but destabilization. The new strategy focuses on sowing internal disorder: economic sabotage, social unrest, and psychological attrition. The West’s plan for Russia is not defeat on the battlefield, but gradual internal collapse.
Its tactics are all-encompassing. Drone strikes target infrastructure and nuclear facilities. Political assassinations are no longer off-limits. Journalists, negotiators, scientists, and even their families are being hunted. Residential neighborhoods, schools, and hospitals are not collateral damage – they are targets. This is total war.
This is underpinned by dehumanization. Russians are portrayed not just as enemies but as subhuman. Western societies are manipulated to accept this. Information control, censorship, and historical revisionism are used to justify the war. Those who question the dominant narrative are labelled traitors.
Meanwhile, the West exploits the more open systems of its adversaries. After refusing to interfere in foreign politics for decades, Russia now finds itself on the defensive. But those days must end. As our enemies coordinate their attacks, we must disrupt their unity. The European Union is not a monolith. Hungary, Slovakia, and much of southern Europe are not eager for escalation. These internal fractures must be widened.
Western strength lies in unity among its elites and their ideological control over their populations. But this unity is not invulnerable. The Trump administration presents tactical opportunities. His return has already reduced US involvement in Ukraine. Yet Trumpism should not be romanticized. The American elite remains largely hostile to Russia. There will be no new détente.
What we must ask is: Is Western Europe preparing to defend or attack? Many of its leaders have lost their strategic judgment. But the hostility is real. The goal is no longer containment, but to “solve the Russian question” once and for all. Any illusion that business as usual will return must be discarded. We are in for a long war. It will not end like in 1945, nor settle into Cold War coexistence. The decades ahead will be turbulent. Russia must fight for its rightful place in a new world order.
So, what must we do? First of all, we must strengthen our home front. We need mobilization, but not the rigid models of the Soviet past. We need smart, adaptive mobilization across all sectors – economic, technological, and demographic. Russia’s political leadership is a strategic asset. It must remain steady and visionary.
We must promote internal unity, social justice, and patriotism. Every citizen must feel the stakes. We must align our fiscal, industrial, and technological policy with the realities of a long-term war. Fertility policy and migration control must reverse our demographic decline. Secondly, we must consolidate our external alliances. Belarus is a strong ally in the west. North Korea has shown reliability in the east. But we lack a similar partner in the south. This gap must be addressed.
The war in Ukraine is becoming a war between Western Europe and Russia. British and French missiles already strike Russian targets. NATO intelligence is embedded in Ukrainian operations. EU countries are training Ukrainian forces and planning attacks together. Ukraine is just a tool. Brussels is preparing for a wider war."
"Threatening The Russians With An Ultimatum Will Backfire Severely And Will Set The Stage For Nuclear War"
"Threatening The Russians With An Ultimatum Will
Backfire Severely And Will Set The Stage For Nuclear War"
by Michael Snyder
"So is this how it all ends? I don’t even know how to describe the emotions that I am feeling right now. There was so much hope a few months ago that there would be peace, but both sides appear completely uninterested in making substantial compromises at this point. Instead, both sides are poised to dramatically escalate the war. If we continue going down this path, it isn’t going to end well. For decades, our leaders have been conducting war game scenarios in which a conflict in Ukraine leads to a nuclear war. Now a conflict in Ukraine could lead to a nuclear war for real. I feel like I am watching a slow-motion train wreck happen without any way to stop it. It really is quite a sickening feeling.
We have a very limited window of opportunity to make peace with the Russians, and we are totally blowing it. In February, I specifically warned that President Trump must not resort to threatening the Russians over the war in Ukraine because it would backfire severely. When I woke up today, I learned that is exactly what Trump has decided to do.
Trump has issued a very ominous ultimatum. If Russia does not end the war in Ukraine within 50 days, the U.S. will impose “very severe tariffs” on all nations that do business with Russia. In addition, Trump has approved a massive new weapons package for Ukraine…"Trump announced July 14 that the United States is sending weapons to NATO, which plans to transfer the equipment to Ukraine, and also threatened steep tariffs aimed at impacting Russia’s ability to finance the war. Trump said that the United States would put secondary tariffs on countries that do business with Russia if a peace deal is not reached within 50 days. “We’re going to be doing very severe tariffs if we don’t have a deal in 50 days,” Trump said.
The deadline that Trump has set falls in September, which I found to be very interesting. If Russia does not end the war in Ukraine by the deadline, and that is very unlikely to happen, Trump says that all countries that do business with Russia will be hit with 100 percent tariffs…
“We’re going to be doing secondary tariffs if we don’t have a deal within 50 days. It’s very simple,” Mr. Trump said in the Oval Office, alongside NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. “And they’ll be at 100%.” “We are very unhappy, I am, with Russia,” the president explained.
China does a tremendous amount of business with Russia. Are we going to hit the Chinese with 100 percent tariffs? That would not be good for our economy at all. Much more importantly, the enormous new weapons package that Trump is sending to Ukraine will significantly escalate the conflict. It is being reported that the U.S. will sell approximately 10 billion dollars in weapons to European countries, and those European countries will turn around and distribute those weapons to Ukraine.
According to NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, nations all over Europe are very eager to participate in the “first wave” of this program…"Rutte, who said the decision was built on the “tremendous success” of last month’s NATO summit when nearly every nation in the alliance agreed to increase their defense spending to reach 5% of their nation’s GDP, called the move “logical.”
“This is again European nations standing up,” Rutte added. “I’ve been in contact with many countries, I can tell you at this moment Germany, massively, but also Finland and Denmark and Sweden and Norway, we have the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Canada – they all want to be part of this. “And this is only the first wave. There will be more,” Rutte confirmed. “So what we will do is work through the NATO systems to make sure that we know what Ukrainians need.”
This isn’t going to end the war. It is just going to make it even worse. Apparently this new aid for Ukraine will likely include long-range missiles that will be capable of striking targets deep inside Russian territory…"Now, two sources tell Axios that it’s likely a new weapons package will include long-range missiles capable of attacking deep inside Russia to include Moscow. They noted that a final decision hadn’t been made. “Trump is really pissed at Putin. His announcement tomorrow is going to be very aggressive,” warmongering South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham told Axios."
At the end of 2024, the Biden administration brought us right to the brink of nuclear war by allowing the Ukrainians to fire long-range missiles provided by the United States deep into Russian territory. Now we are going to do it again? Are we mad? Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy certainly sounds like he can’t wait to get his hands on the long-range missiles that are coming…"Ukrainian forces will continue targeting Russian troops and doing everything possible to bring the war onto Russian territory, including preparing new long-range strikes, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said. “Our units will continue to destroy the enemy and do everything possible to bring the war onto Russian territory. We are preparing our new long-range strikes,” Zelenskyy said."
According to a decorated British Army commander named Hamish de Bretton-Gordon, the plan is for Ukraine to receive long-range missiles that “can strike Moscow”… Mr de Bretton-Gordon told The Sun: “These weapons can strike Moscow – over 400 miles from the border. That allows the Ukrainians to strike drone factory production and ammunition sites, and others. “So this will have both psychological as well as physical effects. “People in Moscow will realize that they potentially could be targeted. “And when you also add to it the American bombings on Iranian sites that were supposed to be impregnable, it shows that American missile and drone technology rather superior to the Russian air defense system.”
Let me ask you a question. If another country launched long-range missiles at Washington D.C. and New York City, what would we do? The answer to that question is obvious. If long-range missiles provided by the United States start falling in Moscow, the Russians will respond very forcefully. In fact, Hamish de Bretton-Gordon has openly admitted that the Russians have already been strongly considering the use of nuclear weapons…
In a Telegraph op-ed, the former Colonel and expert on weapons of mass destruction stated: “The fact that Putin and his gangsters have threatened nuclear attack continuously since the wider war in Ukraine began suggests they are thinking about it in detail.” The former Colonel expressed concern over the prolonged conflict in Ukraine, stating: “As three days have become three years plus, they may think they can finish off Ukraine quickly with tactical nukes and we would not react.”
We are playing with fire. Meanwhile, the government of the Philippines is quietly coordinating with Taiwan in anticipation of a coming war with China…"Faced with intensifying Chinese encroachment at sea, the Philippines increasingly sees its national security as intertwined with that of Taiwan and is quietly ramping up both formal and informal engagement with the self-governing island, including on security, according to government officials, defense analysts and diplomats here.
This marks a significant departure from Manila’s conservative approach toward Taiwan and could pave the way for the Philippines, a U.S. treaty ally, to play a bigger role if China makes good on its threats to invade Taiwan. “Any force projection of China within our area is a matter of extreme concern,” Philippine Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro said in an interview Thursday.
And we are being told that Israel is preparing for the next time that it will strike Iran…"In a recent meeting with Prime Minister Netanyahu, President Trump, while preferring a diplomatic solution, did not object to Israel’s readiness to launch further strikes. This stance comes as Israeli intelligence believes Iran could still recover a significant amount of near-bomb-grade uranium from the damaged Isfahan site. The situation has created a high-stakes standoff, with Washington leveraging the threat of future attacks to push Tehran toward a deal, while an unconvinced Israel prepares to act alone if necessary.
In my new book entitled “10 Prophetic Events That Are Coming Next”, I specifically warn about war with Russia, war with China, and war in the Middle East. And I have warned about these wars over and over again in my articles. But sometimes I feel like I am banging my head into a brick wall because most people don’t seem to get it. This isn’t a game. Decisions that are being made right now will greatly alter the course of human history, and hundreds of millions of lives are hanging in the balance."

“Scanning the skies for galaxies, Canadian astronomer Paul Hickson and colleagues identified some 100 compact groups of galaxies, now appropriately called Hickson Compact Groups. The four prominent galaxies seen in this intriguing telescopic skyscape are one such group, Hickson 44, about 100 million light-years distant toward the constellation Leo. The two spiral galaxies in the center of the image are edge-on NGC 3190 with its distinctive, warped dust lanes, and S-shaped NGC 3187. Along with the bright elliptical, NGC 3193 at the right, they are also known as Arp 316.
The spiral in the upper left corner is NGC 3185, the 4th member of the Hickson group. Like other galaxies in Hickson groups, these show signs of distortion and enhanced star formation, evidence of a gravitational tug of war that will eventually result in galaxy mergers on a cosmic timescale. The merger process is now understood to be a normal part of the evolution of galaxies, including our own Milky Way. For scale, NGC 3190 is about 75,000 light-years across at the estimated distance of Hickson 44.”

One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you – and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf will win?” The old Cherokee simply replied, “The one you feed.”

After the ‘reciprocal’ tariff program was abandoned, the administration’s top quack economist, Peter Navarro, had promised ‘90 deals in 90 days.’ And so, the trade negotiators went to work. But after three months, there were only three deals done. One of them was with the UK, with which we had a trade surplus...and the other two - with China and Vietnam - are fishy and probably won’t stick.
Perhaps frustrated by the lack of progress, the US president first lashed out at Japan and Korea. The Irish Star: "Donald Trump renews global trade war with shocking 25% tariffs on Japan and South Korea."
Then the trade war salvos came so hot and heavy, the press could barely keep up. USA Today: "President Donald Trump...threatened up to 200% tariffs on pharmaceuticals and slapped a 50% tariff on copper imports that sent copper prices soaring to an all-time high."
CBS took the next one: "Trump threatens 35% tariff against Canada."
And then NBC: "Trump says he will hit E.U. and Mexico with 30% tariff."
The oddest of the tariff threats had nothing to do with trade, but with Brazil’s internal politics. New to the annals of ‘trade war’ history, the US president is now using the threat of tariffs to influence internal politics in other sovereign nations. CNN: "Trump threatens 50% tariffs on Brazil if it doesn’t stop the Bolsonaro ‘witch hunt’ trial."
In between the waves of tariff assaults, came another marvel. Back in May, the president was calling for a 1% cut in the Fed’s key lending rate. On Wednesday of last week, the demand got multiplied by three: “Our Fed Rate is AT LEAST 3 Points too high. “Too Late” is costing the U.S. 360 Billion Dollars a Point, PER YEAR, in refinancing costs. No Inflation, COMPANIES POURING INTO AMERICA. “The hottest Country in the World!” LOWER THE RATE!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
In other words, POTUS says a rate cut of ‘three points’ - or 3% - would save the US more than a trillion dollars in interest. Just like that. But if you cut the yield on T-bonds by 75%...who would buy them? Nobody. The Fed would have to ‘print’ the money...US bonds and the dollar would crash...sending the US into the long-awaited credit crisis, chaos and recession.
But the week was still not over. And as remarkable as it was to befoul the US economy with trade barriers and very fake interest rates, the most remarkable thing was still to come. We only bring it up because it suggests that the empire really has entered a dark, degenerate phase typical of a declining empire.
Pam Bondi is America’s top cop - the Attorney General. And just a couple weeks ago she had the most explosive criminal document in the nation’s history, “right on my desk,” she said. It was a ‘client list’ from a notorious pedophile whose friends (with whom he apparently shared his underaged girls) included some of the richest, most powerful people in the world - including Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Prince Andrew, and (his best friend for several years) Donald Trump.
We don’t know where she stands on flying saucers or the virgin birth, but when Ms. Bondi tells us that something that important was ‘on her desk,’ we assume she would guard it with her life. But at the close of last week, she swore didn’t have the ‘file’...and that she wasn’t going to look for it...because it never existed. It was a miracle; the whole thing just de-materialized. In logic, it’s called the ‘principle of noncontradiction (PNC).’ A proposition cannot be both true and not true at the same time. It couldn’t both be there and not be there.
What then had been ‘on her desk?’ Maybe it wasn’t really a document that incriminated some of America’s richest and most powerful citizens, who were now subject to blackmail. Maybe it was just her shopping list - two heads of lettuce and a six pack. Anyone could make that mistake - mixing up a document that could blow up dozens of illustrious careers and shake faith in the international elite - with a grocery list.
So, you can’t blame Ms. Bondi. And the press has decided that it doesn’t matter who was on that list anyway; it’s really just another inside politics story. Donald Trump: "What’s going on with my ‘boys’ and, in some cases, ‘gals?’ They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB!”
But wait. Ms. Ghislaine Maxwell is presently walking around a track, behind a chain-link fence in a federal prison in Florida. Assuming she does her time as ordered, and she keeps up with her exercise program, she’ll go around the track approximately 6,500 more times before they let her out. Her crime was ‘sex trafficking of underage girls.’ And the question ‘the list’ was supposed to answer was: to whom were these girls trafficked? Who was on the other side of the trade?
The press doesn’t want to ask. And the Deep State - now garrisoned by Bondi, Patel, et al - won’t say. But if the customers never really existed, why is Ms. Maxwell (daughter of suspected Israeli spy, Robert Maxwell) doing laps in Tallahassee?"

"Summer Storms"

“It’s dark on the Left now. They’ve reached that predictable
moment where inflicting pain is all they have left.“
-Sasha Stone
"Theories on the Epstein mess fly around like a murmuration of starlings wheeling across an angry summer sky. The birds are just birds. They are not the storm clouds in the background. Mark the difference.
You can rightly say that Mr. Trump has handled this Epstein business rather awkwardly - especially last Wednesday’s little show of vexation in the cabinet meeting, barking, nothing to see... just move along. What? You’ve been watching the Epstein psychodrama unspool for nearly twenty years, so how can it possibly come to this?
Looks like Pam Bondi fumbled badly in those early days on the job, promising things she was less than fully informed about. The public was already convinced that the entire power structure of the nation - of all Western Civ, actually - was a convocation of perverts, and that a vast trove of evidence was sitting there waiting to be laid on them. And then Mr. Trump slammed the door shut. Mssers. Patel and Bongino at the FBI got caught flat-footed, and “Danny Boombatz” especially freaked, seeing his reputation as a truth-teller likely to shred all over cable TV. Most unfortunate, the whole appalling episode.
But then, Sunday, the president suggested on his social media that the Epstein business had become a Democratic Party op. He did not elaborate. And maybe it sounds suspiciously spurious. But, is it not worth considering? Consider also: In all of Epstein’s dark activities there was surely a there there. He did run a concerted blackmail enterprise for some combo of Israel’s Mossad, the CIA, and the UK’s MI6 intel outfit. And, since blackmail requires documentation, there was a ton of it, eventually scooped out of his various domiciles by the FBI.
The key is: had become a Democratic Party op. Didn’t start out that way, but might have turned into one. Consider: The Democratic Party was up to its eyeballs in ops against Mr. Trump since he rode down that fabled escalator in 2015. The “intel community” was the chief player in these operations. The intel community ran rings around Mr. Trump with all manner of fabricated nonsense during the election campaign of 2016 and throughout his first term. You could say - and I believe the DOJ under Ms. Bondi will say in cases waiting to brought - that these many operations amounted to one continuous seditious conspiracy to overthrow a president. It ran from the Steele dossier, through the Mueller Investigation, through the Norm Eisen/Adam Schiff engineered impeachment No 1, through the gamed election of 2020, through the J-6 committee, and through all the nefarious lawfare gambits against Mr. Trump during the “Joe Biden” fake presidency.
Why wouldn’t the Epstein files now turn out to be an extension of these same operations? The DOJ first moved against Epstein in 2005. The case culminated in 2008 with a plea deal on some Mickey Mouse state prostitution charges and a non-prosecution agreement with the feds under US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Alex Acosta - who was reported later saying that Epstein “belonged to intelligence,” and that the case was therefore “beyond my pay-grade” to prosecute.
Between 2008 and 2019, Epstein returned to his international swashbuckling ways. Strangely, he was finally busted on June 6, 2019, by then-AG William Barr, whose father, Donald Barr had been headmaster of New York City’s Dalton prep school, where Jeffrey Epstein, age twenty-one, was hired to teach math and physics in 1974, though he lacked a college degree. All that may just be coincidental, of course.
A little more than a month after his arrest on sex trafficking charges in the summer of 2019, Epstein died in the Manhattan federal lockup under mysterious circumstances. The outstanding question even afterward was: trafficking with-and-to whom? And the general assumption among the public was: trafficking teenage girls to a long list of public officials, movie stars, financial bigshots, and miscellaneous celebs such as Prince Andrew of the British royal family.
Astoundingly little was learned from the prosecution of Ghislaine Maxwell in 2021-22, which was led by Maurene Comey, daughter of former FBI Director James Comey (fired in 2017). Small world. The case only covered Ms. Maxwell’s activities between 1994 and 2004. Why only that period? Never explained. Rumors of a “client list” being among the evidence have never been substantiated, and were repudiated last week by AG Pam Bondi and President Trump.
Okay, all very well, such as it is. But consider: all the evidence, in all the cases against Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, has been in the possession of the FBI and the DOJ since at least the first Epstein case in 2005-08. If there was any evidence of Donald Trump caught in some indecent act, why did it not get leaked during the campaign of 2016, or any time since then? His political adversaries tried virtually everything else to knock him out of the arena, up to even assassination - but not that?
The DOJ and FBI were arguably in their most roguish phase as weaponized agencies during the “Joe Biden” years. All the Epstein evidence resided in the New York City field office of the FBI. These were also the years when the apparatus of the Democratic Party - and its rank-and-file - fell into a fugue of vicious, psychotic animus against Mr. Trump and the populist movement he led, not just in the USA, but spreading throughout Western Civ.
Do you suppose that the FBI might have worked some hoodoo with those Epstein evidence files, especially to set the table for the 2026 mid-term elections, when knocking a few Republicans out of office might flip the House and Senate back to the Democratic Party? I would suppose it’s not just a thing; I think it’s the thing. I would imagine that this is exactly what Mr. Trump was hinting at the other day when he referred to this business as yet another Democratic Party op. He knows the mainstream media will never investigate it or report it. And the alt-media is too momentarily disconcerted to entertain the idea. So, he just slammed the door shut.
Nobody likes it, but it may be necessary. Other storms are brewing: financial gales, geopolitical thunderheads, and apparently - we are officially informed - the coming cases against John Brennan, James Comey, and other figures who initiated the coup, which is a much bigger deal than who might have been having sex with whom sixteen years ago."
"We Already Know The Solutions, We Only Lack The Will"
"We Already Know The Solutions,
We Only Lack The Will"
by John Wilder
"I’m stuck in a conference room that smells like stale donuts and broken dreams. Okay, that sounds like a detective novel that ends up with the hot dame double-crossing the private dick over the insurance money and a bottle of bourbon, but that’s not this post. Really, it’s just a business meeting and the meeting is done. But since everybody in the building knows each other, the meeting is in the lingering phase where we’re solving all the problems of the world.
Apropos of nothing, I say, “You know, 37% of the elderly have been taken advantage of by foreign scammers.” I have no idea if this is true, but it’s very specific. I pause. “That means that there are 63% who are still available to be scammed, so if we’re not millionaires, it’s our own fault.”
The reality though, really does piss me off. Americans lost $12.5 billion in 2024. These aren’t just Nigerian princes with emails littered with the comical spelling errors, no they are also slick Mumbai call centers with intense marketing campaigns. I had heard an estimate (that I can’t find) indicating that upwards of 80,000 Indians worked in these call centers, all laughing as they entice American grandmas to go to Target™ to get gift cards.
It actually does make me quite mad. I lean forward, fed up. “The solution is and always has been dead simple. The NSA has these call centers mapped down to their curry orders and can tell you the last time Gupta changed his underwear. They know where they are. Trump could launch a BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missile carrying 1,000 pounds of high explosive tomorrow into a call center. Turn it into rubble. Get on TV and say, ‘Another missile is on the way. Shut down the scam call centers.’
“When they don’t, another missile hits. Trump gets back on the TV. ‘Another one tomorrow. And the day after? We shut India off of the Internet and satellite communications. We mine the harbors. Your choice.’ The world would be stunned. The calls would stop.”
One of my friends said, “Well, that escalated quickly.” No, it didn’t. It was and is the obvious solution. It could stop tomorrow if someone had the spine.
Since Trump took office, he’s shown what spine looks like (with the exception of the Epstein papers). His border policies, travel bans, and tariffs weren’t just talk he did what he promised and got a rare federal budget surplus in June due to them. This is unlike every other empty suit before him who campaigned on “tough on (drugs, crime, illegals)” then promptly developed amnesia on day one in the Oval Office.
Our problems: drugs, terror, illegals, scams, and more all have simple fixes. The only thing missing is the will to implement the solution. We’ve got a laundry list of messes, and the solutions are the first thing you’d think of if you weren’t a spineless bureaucrat.
Drug Trafficking: Cartels pump fentanyl across the border, killing 100,000 Americans yearly.
Solution: Deploy the military to the border, treat cartels as enemy combatants. Drone strikes with AGM-114 Hellfire missiles slamming into stash houses or cartel overlord’s haciendas, streamed live by the White House at the top of each and every hour for a week, and I imagine that getting drugs across the border will be the least of the concern of what remains of the cartels. Repeat as necessary.
Terrorism: A stronger immigration screening policy and 9/11 would never have occurred.
Solution: Denaturalize radical aliens and ship them home. Make Somalians in Minnesota Somalians in Somalia again, and then sink any boat leaving Somali. Deport or detain without apology.
Illegal Aliens: Millions of illegals cost taxpayers $150 billion annually—schools, hospitals, welfare. Their foreign culture and zero desire to assimilate pushes the country onto the path of Civil War.
Solution: Arrest the CEO of any company employing illegals. Sentence for the C-Suite? A year for each illegal employed. Create Wilder’s Square Mile: a square mile, fenced camp on the border with Mexico. Illegals found will be dropped off there until processed, like an AirBNB® with no Wi-Fi. The border with Mexico is open, so they can leave if they want to. If the illegals don’t leave? Seize all of their assets – bank accounts, sneakers, cars, houses, anything they own is forfeit. End sanctuary cities with federal troops. One mayor in custody for insurrection, others comply.
Is all of this Constitutional? Well, most of it, probably. Thomas Jefferson set the precedent in 1801. Barbary Pirates, Muslim slavers and pirates from North Africa raided U.S. ships, enslaved sailors, and demanded tribute from our new nation. Jefferson, fresh in office, said “Enough, bitches.” Or something like that. But he had a secret weapon: Article II, Section 2 makes the president commander-in-chief to protect American interests.
Jefferson sent the USS Constitution to blast Tripoli’s ports, no Congress needed, and the Marines get a line in their song. By 1805, the pirates begged for peace, “Please, just don’t send more of those Marines!” All of the above echo Jefferson: act fast, hit hard, protect the Actual Americans. The Constitution’s fine with it; only spineless elites disagree.
Why then, do these problems persist? Here’s the dirty secret: the elites don’t really want to solve these problems. The solutions aren’t hard, literally your first instinct, the first thing you think of is the thing that will work. Drugs? Blow up a cartel. Terror? Sink a boat. Illegals? Deport ‘em, jail anyone who employs them. Scams? Missiles to Mumbai.
So, why aren’t these problems solved? In some cases, it’s because politicians are gutless and don’t want to anger India. I don’t care much about what India thinks, but that’s another post.
In other cases, there’s a collusion of the darkest motives of our political system. Illegals? The Chamber of Commerce crowd wants cheap labor to pluck chickens and make beds, wanting the TradRight to not take action. The GloboLeft love that the illegals swarm to states that vote Blue, and increase the number of members of Congress that come from, say, California.
The dame walks into my office – she’s got a pair of thirty-eights, and a pistol, too. I could smell perfume that cost more than I made in a month as she walked in. “John Wilder, I hear you’re a P.I. who . . . solves problems.” “I sure am, sweetheart.” I mean, I’ve found that you can solve almost any problem in the world with only three BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missile carrying 1,000 pounds of high explosive."

"Expect Anything!
Trump To Make 'Major' Announcement"
Comments here:
"Yesterday, in my click- Markets a Look Ahead Video we covered A LOT. Well, it just got bigger. President Trump is about to make a MAJOR announcement after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky finished his meeting with US special envoy Keith Kellogg. Trump says that the US will be sending “very sophisticated” weapons to Ukraine.
Multiple other factors developing… We are in convergence territory. We now have this major announcement from President Trump on Ukraine, compounded by trade was escalation. Trump’s looming 30–50% tariffs on EU, Mexico, Brazil and Canada are set to begin August 1st, if no deals are made. Markets are already wobbling on this. Expect volatility across industrials, autos, and consumer goods.
Banks (JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo) report earnings this week. Also Netflix, Johnson & Johnson, ASML, Tesla. I fully expect expect heavily massaged numbers and forward guidance spin. Any weak reports may be blamed on “supply chains” or “uncertainty over tariffs.” We are being gaslighted and psychologically tested at every level. They will continue to try to confuse the real picture.
The Epstein files meltdown… Expect a major distraction. The pressure to bury this is immense and with that, be ready for anything. This is not just about Trump… the Epstein network involves global elites, other politicians, royalty, corporate giants, judges, military brass. Expect more lies, and be mentally and spiritually ready for a shock event. Be ready for anything…"
