No terrifying at all ... if you are believer. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through Him.
Make sure you take care of the top two preps: 1) Forgive anyone who has ever done you wrong in word and/or deed. If you're having trouble forgiving then ask God to help you. 2) Confess and repent of all your sins ... every day ... more than once if you need it.
Time is short. Don't follow the broad way. Get on the narrow path and stay on it. Cut out anything in your life that keeps you from the narrow path.
