"A Look to the Heavens"

“Namibia has some of the darkest nights visible from any continent. It is therefore home to some of the more spectacular skyscapes, a few of which have been captured in the below time-lapse video. We recommend watching this video at FULL SCREEN (1080p), with audio on. The night sky of Namibia is one of the best in the world, about the same quality of the deserts of Chile and Australia.
Full screen recommended.
Visible at the movie start are unusual quiver trees perched before a deep starfield highlighted by the central band of our Milky Way Galaxy. This bright band of stars and gas appears to pivot around the celestial south pole as our Earth rotates. The remains of camel thorn trees are then seen against a sky that includes a fuzzy patch on the far right that is the Large Magellanic Cloud, a small satellite galaxy to the Milky Way. A bright sunlight-reflecting satellite passes quickly overhead. Quiver trees appear again, now showing their unusual trunks, while the Small Magellanic Cloud becomes clearly visible in the background. Artificial lights illuminate a mist that surround camel thorn trees in Deadvlei. In the final sequence, natural Namibian stone arches are captured against the advancing shadows of the setting moon. This video incorporates over 16,000 images shot over two years, and won top honors among the 2012 Travel Photographer of the Year awards.”

The Poet: Theodore Roethke, “The Waking”

“The Waking”

“I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.
I learn by going where I have to go.

We think by feeling. What is there to know?
I hear my being dance from ear to ear.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.

Of those so close beside me, which are you?
God bless the Ground! I shall walk softly there,
And learn by going where I have to go.

Light takes the Tree; but who can tell us how?
The lowly worm climbs up a winding stair;
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.

Great Nature has another thing to do
To you and me; so take the lively air,
And, lovely, learn by going where to go.

This shaking keeps me steady. I should know.
What falls away is always. And is near.
I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I learn by going where I have to go.”

- Theodore Roethke

"Not Such An Easy Business..."

“Over the years you get to see what a struggle life is for most people, how tough it is, how easy it is to be judgmental and criticize and stand outside of situations and impart your wisdom and judgment. But over the decades I've got more tolerant of people's flaws and mistakes. Everybody makes a lot of them. When you're younger you feel: "Hey, this person is evil" or "This person is a jerk" or stupid or "What's wrong with them?" Then you go through life and you think: "Well, it's not so easy." There's a lot of mystery and suffering and complication. Everybody's out there trying to do the best they can. And it's not such an easy business.”
- Woody Allen

"The Bewildered Herd..."

“The bewildered herd is a problem. We've got to prevent their roar and trampling. We've got to distract them. They should be watching the Superbowl or sitcoms or violent movies. Every once in a while you call on them to chant meaningless slogans like "Support our troops!" You've got to keep them pretty scared, because unless they're properly scared and frightened of all kinds of devils that are going to destroy them from outside or inside or somewhere, they may start to think, which is very dangerous, because they're not competent to think. Therefore it's important to distract them and marginalize them.”

"War of the Woke"

"War of the Woke"
by Bill Bonner

"They mainly attributed the peaceful dominion of religion in their country to the separation of church and state. I do not hesitate to affirm that during my stay in America, I did not meet with a single individual, of the clergy or of the laity, who was not of the same opinion upon this point."
– "Democracy in America", by Alexis de Tocqueville

YOUGHAL, IRELAND – "Does freedom pay? Thank the long-suffering people of North Korea for their real-world/real-time test. The elite in North Korea has been telling them what to do for more than half a century… with predictable results – grinding poverty… and outright starvation. And we are grateful. Otherwise, the theory – that the freer the society, the richer the people – would be just a theory… buttressed only by speculation, logic, and anecdotal evidence.

But the test on the Korean Peninsula was almost perfect. Same people. Same resources. Same climate. Same time (the test began in 1953). More or less the same starting position (the U.S. had pulverized North Korea in the war; but so had it smashed up Japan and Germany). The southerners chose freedom – moderated, as always, by government, social norms, and so forth. The group in the North went for non-freedom… ruthlessly, sternly enforced by the Kim Il-Sung and then Kim Jong-Il communist governments.

The result? The South Korean economy is now nearly 100 times bigger than the economy of North Korea. The average South Korean has nearly 50 times more wealth. He will live to an average age of 79, which is 11 years longer than the North Korean male (and a couple of years more than the average man in the U.S.). And to top it off, the free people of the South are between 1 and 3 inches taller than those in the North, thanks to getting enough to eat.

Conclusion: Freedom makes a big difference in the economic world. But does it work elsewhere?

Born Unfree: Thomas Jefferson, in a flight of fancy or wishful thinking, wrote that “all men are born free…” Clearly, they are not. They are born subject to the laws and regulations of the place they are hatched. In the U.S., Forbes Magazine calculated that some 88,899 rules and regulations were brought in from 1995 to 2016 alone, along with 4,312 laws. And a newborn also has his share of the $28 trillion national debt. No matter that he had no say in it… and got nothing from it.

Religious Crusades: But Jefferson and the Founding Fathers at least tried to put some things off limits to bossy-pants rulers. We now take religious freedom for granted. But that was not always the case. Here in Ireland, for example, Catholics were punished, starved, marginalized, burned out, chased out… driven “to Hell… or to Connaught”… and killed outright.

The “religious” wars in Europe – 1522 to 1648 – took the lives of as many as 18 million people. And earlier still, the Crusades against heretics, the Ottoman Empire, and free-thinkers lasted for hundreds of years – until the last Moor was driven from the Iberian Peninsula in 1492 in the Reconquista.

After that, some different religions were tolerated in some places at some times. In Transylvania, in 1568, for example, the Diet – the legislative, administrative, and judicial body – enacted the Edict of Torda. In it, Catholicism, Lutheranism, Unitarism, and Calvinism were permitted, but they drew the line at outright religious freedom.

Jews generally required special permission to live in a city, except in Poland, where they enjoyed substantial autonomy, given to them in the Statute of Kalisz of 1264.

But it wasn’t until the founding of the United States of America that real religious freedom was firmly established. Instead of granting people the right to practice their religion – or “tolerating” them – the idea in the First Amendment is that religion is none of the government’s business. The feds can give no permission; they have none to give. The result? Here, too, freedom paid off. Different sects competed for hearts, minds, and souls… and generally flourished without resort to violence.

Unfree Speech: And how about Freedom of the Press? One of the cardinal values of a free and prosperous society – also guaranteed by the First Amendment – is the ability to say what you think – even if it is idiotic. But among the dogma of the new Woke Religion is that saying the wrong thing can be almost as bad as violence. If it makes someone feel bad, they say, it is a “micro-aggression,” and should be outlawed.

In the news yesterday was an item from Texas. The University of Texas is being encouraged to eliminate its anthem, "The Eyes of Texas are Upon You", not because of anything in the song itself, but because “it makes black students feel unwelcome.”

Can you talk openly about race in America today? How about the coronavirus… and vaccines? Or sex? You can be as gross and indelicate as you want… but try to talk publicly about the differences between the sexes… and why a man may not be “cut out” to make a good momma… or why you may not be able to turn him into a woman just by hacking off his genitals… and see how far you get.

Say what you really think, and you could lose your job, your career, your friends… and be harassed into hiding. And it’s not the government itself that shuts you up… but the “free press”… and the keyboard warriors on social media! How so? Come back on Monday and we’ll take a look.

"After All..."

“The acceptance of ambiguity implies more than the commonplace understanding that some good things and some bad things happen to us. It means that we know that good and evil are inextricably intermixed in human affairs; that they contain, and sometimes embrace, their opposites; that success may involve failure of a different kind, and failure may be a kind of triumph.”
- Sydney J. Harris

And, of course, the universal and inevitable excuse…
“A person who is going to commit an inhuman act invariably
excuses himself to himself by saying, “I’m only human, after all.”
- Sydney J. Harris

I've always wondered...
Everyone says “Only human…” compared to what?

"‘Your refusal has cost us all’: Biden declares war on the 80M unvaccinated Americans in speech ordering mandates on two-thirds of ALL workers and insists: ‘This is not about freedom.’"

This is the most sickening thing that Joe Biden has ever done. That is saying a lot, because Biden has a long history of doing sickening things. For the past couple of hours I have been trying to find the right words to put what we just witnessed into proper perspective. This truly is one of the most pivotal moments in American history, and there will be no turning back after this. We are descending into full-blown tyranny, and I have literally felt sick to my stomach as I have pondered the ramifications. What remained of the country that so many of us once loved is being absolutely eviscerated, and it is deeply heartbreaking to watch it happen.

The new mandates that Biden has decided to impose on the entire country aren’t just un-American. The word “evil” gets thrown around a lot these days, but in this case it perfectly fits the situation. No government has the right to try to put something into your body by force. Many have pointed out that such mandates are uncomfortably close to physical rape, and there is absolutely no place for such mandates in a free and just society.

According to CNN, Biden’s offensive new mandates “could apply to as many as 100 million Americans”, but I have a feeling that the true number could be even higher than that. Biden’s new mandates apply to all federal employees and contractors, anyone that works at any business that has 100 or more employees, and to the entire health care industry.

Previously, the Biden administration had allowed federal workers that didn’t want to be vaccinated the option of submitting to regular testing instead, but now the option for testing is out the window… "President Biden on Thursday signed an executive order mandating that all federal employees and contractors get vaccinated against COVID-19, with no exceptions for those who agree to regular testing for the virus, according to a source familiar with the plans."

Vast numbers of federal employees will now be faced with the heartbreaking choice of either taking an injection that they do not want or giving up their careers. But Biden didn’t stop there. Shockingly, he has decided to target more than 80 million Americans that work for large companies that employ at least 100 workers. The following comes from the official White House website

"The Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is developing a rule that will require all employers with 100 or more employees to ensure their workforce is fully vaccinated or require any workers who remain unvaccinated to produce a negative test result on at least a weekly basis before coming to work. OSHA will issue an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) to implement this requirement. This requirement will impact over 80 million workers in private sector businesses with 100+ employees."

As you read that, you probably thought to yourself that this can’t possibly be legal. And you would be right. But the Biden administration is probably counting on getting in front of some friendly judges that will issue favorable rulings that will make it “legal”.

On top of all this, the Biden administration is also going after any health care institutions that accept Medicaid or Medicare. Here is more from the official White House website… "The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is taking action to require COVID-19 vaccinations for workers in most health care settings that receive Medicare or Medicaid reimbursement, including but not limited to hospitals, dialysis facilities, ambulatory surgical settings, and home health agencies. This action builds on the vaccination requirement for nursing facilities recently announced by CMS, and will apply to nursing home staff as well as staff in hospitals and other CMS-regulated settings, including clinical staff, individuals providing services under arrangements, volunteers, and staff who are not involved in direct patient, resident, or client care. These requirements will apply to approximately 50,000 providers and cover a majority of health care workers across the country."

Basically, this covers pretty much the entire health care industry in this country. Any health care worker that refuses to get an injection won’t just lose a job. In essence, they will become banned from ever working in their chosen field ever again. There is much more to Biden’s plan, and you can read all about it right here.

In his speech announcing these new mandates, Biden made it quite clear what he thinks about our “freedoms”… “This is not about freedom or personal choice,” Biden said. “It’s about protecting yourself and those around you.” Others on his side of the political spectrum have also spoken very derisively about freedom in recent days. Sadly, there are millions of Americans that actually support this sort of tyrannical approach.

Of course before he entered the White House Biden promised us that this would never happen. For example, he made the following statement back in December… "While speaking in Wilmington, Del., on Dec. 4, 2020, Biden was asked whether COVID vaccinations should be mandatory. He said, “No, I don’t think it should be mandatory. I wouldn’t demand it to be mandatory.” And as recently as July, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was speaking against any sort of a federal mandate… In July, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that a federal vaccine mandate was “not the role of the federal government.” She was right when she said that. But now here in September she is strongly defending what Biden has just done.

Following Biden’s speech, there was a tremendous explosion of anger on social media, because people are recognizing that this is full-blown tyranny. We have come to a moment when none of our national leaders can afford to be silent. This is a moment that will fundamentally change our country forever, and history will judge those that refuse to take a stand very harshly.

Fortunately, some national leaders are already speaking out. For example, Representative Thomas Massie has correctly recognized that Biden’s mandates are clearly unconstitutional…"Republican Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky blasted Biden’s order as ‘unconstitutional.’ ‘OSHA has no more authority to enforce this (there’s no statutory authorization) than CDC had to issue the eviction moratorium,’ Massie said. ‘Which is to say they both have ZERO authority to do these things. Congress makes the laws in a constitutional republic.’

And a couple of governors are already threatening to take the Biden administration to court. In fact, Kristi Noem says that she has her legal team standing by… Reacting to the news, Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem said her “legal team is standing by ready to file our lawsuit the minute @joebiden files his unconstitutional rule.” “This gross example of federal intrusion will not stand,” she said."

Georgia Governor Brian Kemp also sounds like he is ready for a legal fight… "She was joined by fellow Republican Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, who wrote ‘I will pursue every legal option available to the state of Georgia to stop this blatantly unlawful overreach by the Biden administration’ on Twitter Thursday evening."

Unfortunately, the outcome of such cases is usually determined by the political leanings of the judges that are assigned to them. In this country, most judges simply do whatever they feel like doing. So most of the time liberal judges issue rulings that liberals would like, and conservative judges issue rulings that conservatives would like. Needless to say, it shouldn’t work that way, but at this point our judiciary has become just about as lawless as our society as a whole. And lawless societies almost always end up descending into tyranny, and that is happening to us right now.

These are such dark days for our nation, and they are only going to get darker. For years, I have been pleading for the American people to wake up because our liberties and freedoms were steadily being eroded. Now we have gotten to a point where the guy in the White House is enthusiastically taking a sledgehammer to the few liberties and freedoms that we still have left, and unless the American people stand up and object they will soon be totally gone."

"Then What…?"

"Then What…?"

"The strange demeanor of CNN’s news readers is telling us something: check out Erin Burnett in the seven o’clock time slot. No affect, like she is on drugs, in a kind of trance… or just going through the motions against her will. Same thing with Kate Bolduan, a sort of permanent half-scowl, as if she’s been told to carry out a detested chore, like cleaning the carpet where hubbie’s old dog had another “accident.” Is it, perhaps, that they just don’t believe the bullshit they are serving up to anxious viewers anymore? Or is it something even darker? That would be my guess. Next thing you know, their heads will start rotating 360 degrees, projectile vomiting pea soup at the cameras.

I surf through all the major cable news channels, of course, to detect the textures, flavors, and odors of the American zeitgeist - the spirit of the times. It’s a harsh, sour thing these days, with overtones of dead skunk wrapped in a used diaper and dipped in vinegar, almost impossible to choke down and process, like being trapped in a room where evil dwells in a bad dream. It’s gotten so that some of us are beginning to wonder about actually living in the presence of true evil. As embodied, say, by “Joe Biden,” the ghostly figure said to be chief executive of the US government - but apparently in the service of forces and entities outside these fifty states.

Ol’ White Joe was back on TV yesterday issuing threats to his countrypersons. We are in thrall to a pandemic disease, you understand, this organism called Covid-19 and some 80-million of us have not availed ourselves of the magical vaccine required to prevent the transmission of said organism. We must take the vaccine in order to protect the people who already got the vax - many of them more than one shot - from catching Covid-19.

Hold on now… you say they got multiple doses of the vax but they can still catch the disease? Yes, they can, evidently. Okay… well… what kind of vax is it that doesn’t keep you from catching the disease? Oh, a most excellent vax! And you must take it, or lose your income, forfeit your useful position in this economy, give up all the normal routines of existing in a free society.

Then… this is no longer a free society? Oh, but it is… as long as you take as many vaxes as we can force you to take… and, by the way, don’t badmouth the vaxes. We will find out and we will deal with you. We’ll come for you. We’ll take away your access to banking. We’ll sic federal agencies on your case. You will become a non-person, perhaps an unperson! There, that’ll fix you!

That pin on the national grenade I’ve been alluding to…? I think Ol’ White Joe pulled it yesterday. Something big is going to blow now. I’m thinking: what remains of the American economy. You see, that 80-million of our fellow countrypersons remain unvaxed for a good reason. This vax has got a rather bad reputation. Not only is it largely ineffective, it can disable and even kill you. The news of this has gotten around, despite the efforts of CNN and The New York Times to conceal it. The active agent in the vaccine, the spike protein, attaches to the endothelial linings of your blood vessels and provokes blood clots in them. It especially likes the capillaries in vital organs: the heart, brain, liver, kidneys, and so on.

This is not good for you. Most adults of moderate intelligence understand that developing blood clots in vital organs is not a good thing. Many such adults in moderately good health might prefer taking their chances of getting Covid-19, wrassling their way through it, and coming out with full-fledged natural immunity, superior to the iffy immunity the vaxes confer (combined with those bonus blood clots).

There is also the matter of effective clinical early treatments for Covid-19 being suppressed by the government, the public health and medical authorities, and those dour babes on cable news. I speak (sssshhhh) of Ivermectin, monoclonal antibodies, prednisone, Vitamin D, Zinc, et cetera. MSNBC broadcast a story out of Kentucky Thursday about the terrible surge of Covid-19 ripping through the ICUs there. It was quite a sob story. The patients were all on ventilators (Kentucky docs apparently haven’t heard that the ventilator routine has poor outcomes.) No mention of early clinical treatments with the inexpensive and effective Ivermectin protocol. Has the information not traveled through the Cumberland Gap? Well, boo-hoo, then….

Now, something tells me that of those 80-million unvaxed Americans, most have made up their minds pretty firmly about this. “Joe Biden” speaks from the head of a government that has been lying to them about, well… just about everything, for a number of years, and this Covid-19 virus is one of the sketchiest stories that government has tried to put over - Tony Fauci funding development of the disease in a Chinese lab, and elsewhere… the shady business around the vaccine patents and the royalties from the sales of them… the spooky VAERS numbers… the testimony of quite a few medical giants warning about the vaxes… This “hesitant” 80-million is probably going to take the sage advice of former First Lady Nancy Reagan, and just say “no.” Out of good ol’ American politeness, they may even add… thank you… no, thank you…

If “Joe Biden’s” government insists, the politeness may evaporate, and our countrypersons will walk away. From their jobs. Maybe not every single one of them, but plenty… enough of them… enough to make sure that many of the activities in America seize up, including hospitals and doctors’ practices, with nurses, technicians, and even some doctors walking away. Yes, you will be shocked to learn that even some American doctors still have an ethics module in their well-trained brains. Also, probably trucking, so that things like food and auto parts and medicines don’t get where they are needed - which is, let’s face it, every place. That could harm the US economy, for sure, but it could also harm the administration of “Joe Biden.”

Wait for it. The pin has been pulled. Watch the USA descend into its season of darkness and chaos. Then what…? Redemption is a possibility."

"Why Are Food Prices Going Up So Rapidly?"
by Epic Economist

"For a long time, experts have been warning that inflationary policies would lead to an aggressive jump in global food prices and now this is precisely what consumers are seeing at the grocery stores. Over the past twelve months, food prices rose dramatically. In fact, they faced the acutest increase in decades. But on the other hand, wages haven't been increasing nearly as quickly as food prices, and this is pushing tens of millions of people into poverty, food insecurity, and hunger. Here, in the United States, the wealthiest country on the entire planet, approximately 24 million Americans don't have enough to eat and rely on assistance to feed their families every month. Meanwhile, middle-class and low-income workers are now facing a severe case of sticker shock whenever they go to the stores and realize their food budget doesn't stretch as much as it used to. The last time US consumers have seen prices escalate this high was during the Jimmy Carter era of the 1970s. Needless to say that the latest price hikes are making people increasingly angry.

Since the health crisis started, global food supplies have been dwindling, and the result of tight supplies and high demand is, of course, an absolutely shocking surge in global food prices. While politicians and policymakers try to convince the public that soaring food inflation is only "temporary" and there's nothing to be worried about, a recent report released by UN's Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) revealed that global food prices are now growing at the fastest pace in nearly a decade. In August, world food prices jumped 32.9% compared to the same period last year due to solid gains in sugar, vegetable oils, and cereals. FAO’s food price index, which tracks international prices of globally traded food commodities, averaged 127.4 points in August, an increase of 3.9 points from July.

As if that wasn't enough, food industry executives have been telling the media that there's no end in sight for those price increases. In fact, recently, one analyst and food trends expert said that this trend will continue for at least the next several years. It seems like the world is going through some sort of "perfect storm" that could lead us to mass food shortages in the coming months and years. And while our leaders should be coming up with effective solutions to mitigate these problems, they have actually been saying that the "greed of the meat processing industry" is the one to blame. The thing is that price gouging is a serious offense, and if that's really the case, it is also our leaders' responsibility to deal with this situation, instead of only pointing fingers and letting the public suffer with painful price increases.

Experts of the food industry, however, argue that the increases are mostly related to a series of disruptions that include global droughts, extreme weather, factory fires, labor shortages, and supply chain bottlenecks. Food inflation has been largely supported by artificially fueled consumer demand, and given that there are no signs abating and it actually may worsen during this fall, this could severely aggravate socio-economic turmoil around the world because people will now have to allocate more of their daily budgets to food. Last year, SocGen's Albert Edwards first warned about soaring food inflation. Back then, he said a driver of food inflation has been the global central bank's ultra-loose monetary policy and warned about the potential for further social conflicts across several countries, including the US. At this point, many of those who were expecting things to be returning to 'normal' and prices to be starting to stabilize are getting bitterly disappointed, because the health crisis is dramatically worsening and so are our economic conditions.

After so many epic failures, it's understandable why so many people can't trust the government anymore. The way our leaders responded to this crisis has been a complete and total disaster. We've been living a nightmare for the past 18 months, and given the way things are going, it seems like this is just the beginning. Over the next few months, we are going to witness more panic, more chaos, more shortages, and more price increases. This means that although food prices are already ridiculously high, they are about to reach insane levels and most people remain unaware of it. Sadly, many Americans don't even know how broken our system really is and they continue to believe that it will never fail. After all, this is America, the country of the great. But the truth is that it is failing, and what we have experienced so far is just a preview of what is coming next."

"Biden Brings Out the Stick"

"Biden Brings Out the Stick"
by Brian Maher

"The president is no longer dangling the rewarding carrot… but seizing the punishing stick... The administration is mandating vaccination for all federal employees - and the employees of all federal contractors. Federal employees could previously slip through a loophole. They could go unvaccinated if they endured weekly testing. Now the string is pulled tight... and the loophole closes. Defiance will warrant indefinite suspension from duties, such as they are.

Reports CNN: "President Joe Biden on Thursday will impose more stringent vaccine rules on federal workers by signing an executive order requiring all government employees be vaccinated against COVID-19, with no option of being regularly tested to opt out, according to a source familiar with the plans.

During a major speech meant to lay out a new approach to combating the coronavirus, the president will also sign an executive order directing the same standard be extended to employees of contractors who do business with the federal government. The Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, Indian Health Service and National Institutes of Health will also complete their previously announced vaccination requirements, which the White House estimates covers 2.5 million workers." Just so. Yet what about those employees who were afflicted with the virus but lived?

Natural Immunity Is up to 27 Times Stronger: The previously infected possess the mighty antibodies that keep the enemy outside the gates. Studies indicate - our men investigated - that natural immunity confers up to 27 times the defense of vaccines. Why would the naturally immunized require vaccination if their own immunity is vastly superior?

We can conceive of no reason in law or equity why they would. Yet apparently no exceptions will be granted... We must all be broken to the common harness, we must all yank in one direction, we must all march in step. We must all be members of the regiment. Young and old, robust and weak, healthy and sickly - all must fall under harsh political discipline.

How Beneficial Are the Vaccines? We might grant the public health goons a fairer hearing if vaccines were reliable sentries. Yet the evidence indicates - again, our men investigated - that these vaccines often allow the enemy in. That is, the present menace is not a “pandemic of the unvaccinated.” A representative sample of the vaccinated are likewise afflicted.

Here we speak by the book. Look to the United Kingdom… Through Aug. 15, 58% of COVID sufferers aged 50 and over admitted to hospital had received both doses. They were “fully vaccinated.”

Perhaps that is true, allow the vaccine drummers. But hospitalization is not death. They say vaccines will keep the patient pegging along, however diminished. And in many cases they may. Yet consider: 70% of this over-50 cohort were dispatched to the morgue. They were partially or fully vaccinated. They are dead nonetheless. Now look to the nation of Israel…

The Curious Case of Israel: Israelis are among the most vaccinated peoples of Earth. Yet through mid-August, the fully vaccinated represented 59% of worrying cases. That is, Israeli data replicate nearly perfectly United Kingdom data. A certain Dr. Kobi Haviv, director of Herzog Hospital in Jerusalem, claims the fully vaccinated represent 85–90% of hospitalizations at his sick house. How many of these have succumbed we do not know. Our understrappers cannot locate perfectly reliable data.

Yet we hazard the toll exceeds the threshold of statistical significance. Israeli data further indicate that: "The fully vaccinated are 27 times more likely to acquire symptomatic COVID than those who acquired natural immunity through infection."

Dr. Martin Kulldorff professes medicine at Harvard University. From whom: "In Israel, vaccinated individuals had 27 times higher risk of symptomatic COVID infection compared to those with natural immunity from prior COVID disease. No COVID deaths in either group."

Affirms 'Science' magazine, dated Aug. 26: "The natural immune protection that develops after a SARS-CoV-2 infection offers considerably more of a shield against the Delta variant of the pandemic coronavirus than two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, according to a large Israeli study... The newly released data show people who once had a SARS-CoV-2 infection were much less likely than vaccinated people to get Delta, develop symptoms from it or become hospitalized with serious COVID-19."

Russian Roulette: We must assume Americans share a general biology with Israelis. So we ask once again: Why demand universal vaccination? They do not indemnify against the virus. They do not rival natural immunity - if the studies hold. They may limit hospitalizations and deaths - God bless them - but their healthful effects appear to erode after several months. Hence the yelling for booster shots.

Yet each dose of vaccine presents risk. The precise numbers of severe side effects… and deaths… are not known. But they are likely far greater than reported. Perhaps by many multiples. Vaccine fatalities may run to the tens of thousands, dramatic side effects to the hundreds of thousands. And the risk of severe side effects increases with each needling. How many will suffer agonies when drilled with a fourth, a fifth, a sixth, a ninth booster?

Here is another question: Are the vaccines themselves propagating the very virus they are designed to rout? That is, are the vaccines themselves frankensteining new variants into existence? It is a possibility we must consider...

The “Cure” Could Be the Problem: As bacteria outstrategize and outflank antibiotic medicines, viruses can - to our understanding - outstrategize and outflank vaccines. Vaccines force the virus to “evolve” in rapid fashion.

Here is Dr. Robert Malone, pioneer of the mRNA technology upon which these vaccines are structured: "The most important reason why a universal vaccination strategy is imprudent tracks to the collective risk associated with how the virus responds when replicating in vaccinated individuals. Here, basic virology and evolutionary genetics tell us the goal of any virus is to infect and replicate in as many people as possible. A virus can’t efficiently spread if, like with Ebola, it quickly kills its hosts… The more people you vaccinate, the greater the number of vaccine-resistant mutations you are likely to get, the less durable the vaccines will become, ever more powerful vaccines will have to be developed and individuals will be exposed to more and more risk."

Dr. Malone is not the lone voice crying out from his wilderness.Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche is an authority on the science of vaccination. He has provided his expertise to Novartis Vaccines and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to name some. According to this fellow: "There can be no doubt that continued mass vaccination campaigns will enable new, more infectious viral variants to become increasingly dominant and ultimately result in a dramatic incline in new cases despite enhanced vaccine coverage rates. There can be no doubt either that this situation will soon lead to complete resistance of circulating variants to the current vaccines."

A Saner Alternative: Here then is irony itself. The hunt for the cure could drive the cure beyond reach. And so the dog undertakes a merry chase of his tail. The tail, the virus, will always maintain its lead. Does a saner alternative exist? Yes, argues the aforesaid Dr. Malone:

"A far more optimal strategy is to vaccinate only the most vulnerable. This will limit the amount of vaccine-resistant mutations and thereby slow, if not halt, the current vaccine arms race… There has been much controversy over ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine. Yet with the emergence of a growing body of scientific evidence, we can be assured these two medicines are safe and effective in prophylaxis and early treatment when administered under a physician’s supervision. Numerous other useful treatments range from famotidine/celecoxib, fluvoxamine and apixaban to various anti-inflammatory steroids, vitamin D and zinc…"

The American people deserve better than a universal vaccination strategy under the flag of bad science and enforced through authoritarian measures. The American people may deserve better. But if universal vaccination plows on… forcing ever fiercer devil variants… they may never get better."

“A star cluster around 2 million years young surrounded by natal clouds of dust and glowing gas, M16 is also known as The Eagle Nebula. This beautifully detailed image of the region adopts the colorful Hubble palette and includes cosmic sculptures made famous in Hubble Space Telescope close-ups of the starforming complex. Described as elephant trunks or Pillars of Creation, dense, dusty columns rising near the center are light-years in length but are gravitationally contracting to form stars.
Energetic radiation from the cluster stars erodes material near the tips, eventually exposing the embedded new stars. Extending from the ridge of bright emission left of center is another dusty starforming column known as the Fairy of Eagle Nebula. M16 lies about 7,000 light-years away, an easy target for binoculars or small telescopes in a nebula rich part of the sky toward the split constellation Serpens Cauda (the tail of the snake).”

The Poet: Mark Jarman, "Coyotes"

"Coyotes"

"Is this world truly fallen? They say no.
For there's the new moon, there's the Milky Way,
There's the rattler with a wren's egg in its mouth,
And there's the panting rabbit they will eat.
They sing their wild hymn on the dark slope,
Reading the stars like notes of hilarious music.
Is this a fallen world? How could it be?

And yet we're crying over the stars again,
And over the uncertainty of death,
Which we suspect will divide us all forever.
I'm tired of those who broadcast their certainties,
Constantly on their cell phones to their redeemer.
Is this a fallen world? For them it is.
But there's that starlit burst of animal laughter.

The day has sent its fires scattering.
The night has risen from its burning bed.
Our tears are proof that love is meant for life
And for the living. And this chorus of praise,
Which the pet dogs of the neighborhood are answering
Nostalgically, invites our answer, too.
Is this a fallen world? How could it be?"

"Someday stars will wind down or blow up. Someday death will cover us all like the water of a lake and perhaps nothing will ever come to the surface to show that we were ever there. But we WERE there, and during the time we lived, we were alive. That's the truth - what is, what was, what will be - not what could be, what should have been, what never can be."
