"Americans across several states are suffering and attempting to survive under unimaginably harsh conditions, without food and water, in that aftermath of Hurricane Helene which tore across ten states in the Southeast last week, leaving a path of destruction in its wake. And a week later, these people have found that they are largely on their own, as all the real help that has arrived has come through the efforts of individuals and nonprofit groups such as Samaritan Purse, Mountain Mule Packers Ranch, Save Our Allies and Aerial Recovery, which has exposed the fact — to anyone who didn’t already know — that the Biden regime doesn’t give a good damn about them, as Biden and his minions have engaged in not just dereliction of duty but the worst betrayal of the American people ever witnessed, since the birth of the nation.
Joe Biden, the placeholder-in-chief, showed up in Georgia [10-3-24] to give lip-service to the disaster and made promises of money to come, some twenty million dollars, and a recovery that will supposedly be totally undertaken by the federal government. No one should hold their breath waiting on that help to arrive, but if it does, they can bet the farm it will come with the intent of helping Biden special interest groups and supporters first.
Americans should note: $20 million for the victims of Helene and well over $640 million for illegal aliens and approximately $180 BILLION for Ukraine. When does THIS Damned MADNESS Stop!?!
It’s an astounding matter that despite assertions of nineteen thousand National Guardsmen and FEMA workers already being on the ground in those states most severely affected, from Florida to Tennessee and Georgia and on to the horrific situation near Asheville, North Carolina, no one can find them, as FEMA workers are simply sitting in their trucks and sending out mass emails with an app for the victims of Helene to use to apply for financial help, rebuilding their homes, and most importantly finding a way to have food and water and medicines sent their way as soon as possible — THIS in areas where there currently isn’t electricity or any cellphone reception and internet.
It’s a curious thing to witness this tragic situation compounded by the inaction of the federal government and federal workers, agencies and the U.S. military all missing in action as the victims keep asking where all these mysterious government workers are supposedly delivering aid and much needed necessities to anyone. Where is the federal government? No one has seen much of an inkling from it yet.
For survivors in the Asheville, North Carolina area, Mountain Mule Packer Ranch has left this number — 910-885-1402 — for anyone who knows of specific needs and areas where they can be of assistance with their mule trains.
The military should have been brought up immediately and released under Title 10 to immediately render aid throughout all regions devasted by Hurricane Helene which has killed over 224 people and counting to date, with thousands of more people missing and their whereabouts unaccounted, especially with Ft Bragg right there in North Carolina and Ft Benning in Georgia. Several individual volunteers like John Howard, with Aerial Recovery, have told of speaking with various military units that were on the ground but awaiting authorization and orders to release them to act, including two Air Force helicopters that were simply sitting idle at the Asheville Airport.
This is beyond unconscionable once one considers that the 82nd Airborne can be up and on their way to any hotspot in the world between eight and eighteen hours. It’s simply a lack of a president and any leadership in the federal government, as one should note that in 1990, a brigade of the 82nd Airborne was deployed to Saudi Arabia after Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait in less than three days, followed by all the armaments of a full division, including light armor, within the week.
However, in one case, where FEMA and National Guardsmen are found, “they are getting in the way” as told to Fox News on October 2nd 2024 by Tim Kennedy, a relief volunteer, who had gathered survivors in his ongoing efforts to find them shelter. He explained how he and these survivors were turned away from one hotel after being told it was completely booked by federal employees. These employees have the weight of the government behind them and don’t need to worry about how their next meal is going to be found; if anything, they should be sleeping in tents and eating MREs [known as C-rations in my day].
Adding insult to injury, all America heard Joe Biden say his regime has “done all we can do” in regard to this crisis and the misery the victims of Hurricane Helene are enduring, as the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas — the biggest anti-American traitor next to Biden — told the country that the money for FEMA to respond had simply run out for the fiscal year, after FEMA has spent more than $1.4 BILLION since the fall of 2022 to provide necessities for illegal alien invaders. There remain billions of U.S. taxpayers’ dollars setting dormant in other programs, especially those associated with covid that could be taken for this national emergency, and yet, everyone who could do something simply refuses to take effective, efficient and proper action.
But goddamned if they don’t pull out all stops to find financing for homes, food and clothing for illegal alien invaders, who are murdering our sons and daughters as we speak and spit on our American flag, and two wars approximately six thousand miles away each, while Vice-President Harris parties in L.A. with Hollywood celebrities in order to beg campaign funds.
As recently noted by Stephen Miller, of America First Legal, the FEMA Emergency Food and Shelter Program has been reshaped to primarily provide funding to illegal aliens encountered by the Border Patrol and ICE at the southern border, in spite of the fact it was originally created to help only U.S. citizens. In one post, he asserts that $685 million of U.S. taxpayer dollars have been diverted to aid illegal aliens, as FEMA’a own website acknowledges spending $640 million on “noncitizen migrant arrivals”. https://www.fema.gov/es/node/683797
Miller added: “Over the last four years, the Biden administration has steadily transformed FEMA — the agency responsible for responding to natural disasters like Hurricane Helene — into an illegal alien resettlement agency that emphasizes DEI over public safety.”

“This is not something that has just happened recently. Florida’s been warning about this since this administration took over. Mayorkas has come in like a virus and infected these — what need to be healthy, strong, fundamental programs to ensure the stability and safety of Americans in times of disaster. So you heard, they have taken the FEMA emergency food and shelter program and over time, siphoned off hundreds of millions of dollars into basically making it an illegal immigrant resettlement program [which will only encourage more illegal alien invaders to come]. Biden and Harris are having to fund that on the backs of the American people. And now, right now, in Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, all of these states are hurting.
Adding more insult to more injury, Kamala recently stated that FEMA would distribute $750 in relief funds to all people in the devasted areas with immediate needs. But one North Carolina went on the internet to succinctly tell her what she can do with that paltry sum, in part stating: “North Carolina flood victim: Kamala Harris, we don’t want you here. We don’t want your party here in North Carolina. If you’re a Democrat and you live in North Carolina, good for you. But this woman is given illegal immigration, patients, more rights to be entitled to be called American, thousands of dollars in food stamps, loads of money in their pockets, and she’s going to give the people in the mountains $750 dollars. There remains a little matter of the $20 billion boost Congress gave to FEMA in September’s temporary funding bill that was signed into law by Biden. This must be solely used strictly for U.S. citizens only and relief for all currently living in unbelievable misery as they wonder when the will receive their next meal or enough fresh drinking water to make it through each day. Whether the anti-American traitorous Joe Biden and his vile, traitorous henchman Alejandros Mayorkas will do so is an entirely different matter that remains to be seen, which I see as unlikely, since this Biden regime appears intent on making life in general just as hard and miserable for the American public as it possibly can.
These traitorous criminals are using the federal treasury as their own slush fund to finance every single one of their destructive, anti-American agendas and policies, as they keep passing and attempting to pass two or three trillion dollar omnibus bills without any real oversight to later disappear in the pockets of their Marxist-Maoist cronies here and abroad. Everybody and his brother get taken care of by this regime, if they are a red, radical communist or some damned anti-American foreigner willing to come to America as the Democrat Party Communists’ foot soldiers, much as we should expect the 1.7 million illegal aliens with Islamic terror ties currently floating across the country unrestrained and free to wreak havoc at the drop of a hat.
It’s a good damned thing that there are still many great Americans who can be found in this country willing to help one another in their direst times of need, because the federal response has been one monumental failure in this instance, whether due to intent or a lack of a sense of urgency and apathy, as in “we’ll get there when we get there”. This moment should serve as a wakeup call that we are living in a rudderless nation and, in times of emergency and real need, we can only look to ourselves to save each other and our families, because any regime led by the Democratic Party Communists certainly will not be overly concerned if we live or die, since they have their pick of Third World illegals to import to America on the taxpayers’ dime.
If this hasn’t been one of the worst cases of a betrayal of America and treason in all U.S. history, I don’t know what else one can call it, other than a crime against all Americans that should be punishable by life imprisonment at the least but in fact with the death penalty."

It's all there, in those few lines - the mysterious power of poetry to infuse the world with meaning, to anoint the world with a transforming grace. One could spend an hour picking those lines apart, syntax and sound, sense and alliteration. The t's of light thickening, tongue against the teeth. The alar w's making wing. The owl eyes of the double o's. The d's nodding into slumber - day, droop, drowse.
The poet Howard Nemerov says of poetry that it "works on the very surface of the eye, that thin, unyielding wall of liquid between mind and world, where somehow, mysteriously, the patterns formed by electrical storms assaulting the retina become things and the thought of things and the names of things and the relations supposed between thing." It works too in the mouth, in the physical act of speech - tongue, teeth, those d's gliding deeper into the darkness of the throat.

"The Biden-Harris administration's 'America Last' policies have left the country vulnerable. Between draining the strategic petroleum reserve, sending hundreds of billions in cash and equipment to Ukraine (such as electrical transformers that are now needed for Hurricane Helene), and FEMA spending $640 million to help migrants, the agency tasked with emergency preparedness is now 'broke,' and doesn't have enough money to get through hurricane season which typically lasts through November.
According to AP, "The agency is being stretched as it works with states to assess damage from Hurricane Helene and delivers meals, water, generators and other critical supplies. The storm struck Florida last week, then plowed through several states in the Southeast, flooding towns and killing more than 160 people.
Mayorkas was not specific about how much additional money the agency may need, but his remarks on Air Force One underscored concerns voiced by President Joe Biden and some lawmakers earlier this week that Congress may need to pass a supplemental spending bill this fall to help states with recovery efforts. "We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting," said Mayorkas, adding "FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season." And while the administration sends billions more to Ukraine, VP Kamala Harris has offered a laughable $750 in FEMA relief for hurricane victims.

As American Greatness notes further; "Mayorkas made his comments as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris traveled to the Southeast for photo ops amid the devastation left in the storm’s wake. Harris visited Augusta, Georgia, one of the cities hit hardest by Hurricane, two days after Trump, along with Christian evangelist Franklin Graham’s relief organization Samaritan’s Purse, surveyed the damage in Valdosta, Georgia, and passed out truckloads of supplies. During her stop, Harris announced that FEMA would provide whopping $750 in relief funds for people who have immediate needs.
As of April, more than $174 billion in American tax dollars have been appropriated to assist Ukraine. A total of $640.9 million has been spent to feed, clothe and house noncitizens.
Congress recently provided $20 billion in funding to FEMA’s disaster relief fund as part of a short-term government spending bill to fund the government through Dec. 20, according to the AP. The bill reportedly “gave FEMA flexibility to draw on the money more quickly as needed.” Mayorkas claimed Wednesday that FEMA has been able to meet the immediate needs of Americans in communities devastated by the hurricane, however according to multiple reports, the federal government has offered little to no help.
Our government is refusing to rescue Americans trapped in North Carolina. According to independent journalist Breanna Morello, the Biden-Harris regime and North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper (D) are refusing to deploy search and rescue teams to help Americans trapped after Hurricane Helene. Title 10 of the United States Code covers roles, missions, and organization of the United States Armed Forces, and establishes the legal basis for the Department of Defense.“For some reason that’s not coming down,” she said.

He’s famous for his wild body language - jumping around on stage, flapping his arms - but this time the action was all concentrated in his face. You saw his eyes bug out, dart left and right, as if something fierce was coming at him (it was), and more than a few times, his head jerked around sideways so hard you wondered if it might do a whole three-sixty. His mouth, a pain-inflected frown in repose, turned down so deeply it looked like he had sashweights hanging from the corners. Altogether, his face said more than the embarrassing mishmash of mangled English that came out of it. I expect to see a few Tim Walz masks on the little goblins begging for Kit-kat bars the night of October 31.
That same obvious void of conviction you see on Tim Walz’s labile face is on display with the feds’ response to mass tragedy in the Appalachian hurricane zone. It was a point in my book, "The Long Emergency," that our national government would become increasingly impotent, ineffectual, and incompetent as conditions worsened - and now here it is. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), could not bestir itself to aid stricken citizens around the flood-ravaged region in North Carolina and Tennessee. Sec’y Mayorkas of Homeland Security said that FEMA was out of money which, in this season of political weirdness, is especially weird, seeing as how the nation’s fiscal year began Oct 1, and Congress’s continuing resolution for funding US agencies should assure that FEMA’s checkbook is full. What was up with that?
Well, everybody and his uncle has heard by now that FEMA (and many other agencies under Mayorkas’s DHS) commits tons of money to pamper the millions of mutts from foreign lands sneaking over the US border, with lots of assistance from NGO cut-outs funded by your tax dollars, who marshal groups of aliens south-of-the-border for the crossing, and then fly or bus them around our country for the special purpose of distributing them in swing voting districts to then coordinate with other NGOs devoted to registering non-citizens to vote in order to “harvest” their ballots. Quite an operation. Completely lawless and corrupt. And official!
So, no aid for you, baskets of deplorables, shivering in the dark in your hills and hollows of Appalachia, your houses splintered, scant chattels lost, and your beloved hound-dogs carried away in the roaring torrents. The money that might have helped you begin to recover from the complete devastation of your lives is paying for Guatemalans to bunk in the Roosevelt Hotel and order-in quesadillas and churros, and refill their government-issued debit cards so they can afford a few nice things as they wait for mysterious others to cast ballots in their names.
This is the work of your Democratic Party, the party of chaos, party of the Woke mentally ill, party of wrecking the country, of America’s end times. And you’re going to vote for more of it? Of course not. And despite the attempts to knock him out of the arena with scores of utter bullshit lawfare cases, and efforts to shoot him dead, Mr. Trump keeps coming at them, an implacable, relentless force, the true Golden Golem conjured up by their catamite news media. Their inability to destroy him has wrecked their minds.
One surprising October surprise is advanced by whistleblower Mike McCormick on Substack (Midnight in the Laptop of Good and Evil). Mr. McCormick was White House stenographer under Presidents Bush II, Obama, and Trump. His job was to transcribe meetings, speeches, and interactions between major political figures. He was the proverbial fly-on-the-wall for years and years. He has seen and heard a lot and still hears a lot from people who know a lot. He says the Obama-Biden-Harris faction of the Deep State blob is anti-Israel and that Israel understands what this means. He says that Benjamin Netanyahu has told “Joe Biden” (or, let’s say, told errand-boys Tony Blinken and Jake Sullivan) that if the blob engineers a phony victory for Kamala Harris, he will blow up the oil fields in Iran and the anti-Israel Democrats will have to pick up the pieces.
There it is, raw power politics, like so much meat on the table. “Joe Biden” cannot control Bibi. “Joe Biden” is too far gone and two weak, and Israel does not aim to let itself get wiped off the map, as Iran’s leadership never tires of saying. The blob, McCormick says, has to ask itself: does it help rig the election for Harris or stand down on all its ballot harvesting and other trickery and actually allow a real election to roll out? Surprise! Now, take your Kit-kat bar and go home."

“NGC 3199 lies about 12,000 light-years away, a glowing cosmic cloud in the nautical southern constellation of Carina. The nebula is about 75 light-years across in this narrowband, false-color view. Though the deep image reveals a more or less complete bubble shape, it does look very lopsided with a much brighter edge along the top.
Near the center is a Wolf-Rayet star, a massive, hot, short-lived star that generates an intense stellar wind. In fact, Wolf-Rayet stars are known to create nebulae with interesting shapes as their powerful winds sweep up surrounding interstellar material. In this case, the bright edge was thought to indicate a bow shock produced as the star plowed through a uniform medium, like a boat through water. But measurements have shown the star is not really moving directly toward the bright edge. So a more likely explanation is that the material surrounding the star is not uniform, but clumped and denser near the bright edge of windblown NGC 3199.”

"I reckon that it takes about three minutes to read my text. Well, according to statistics, in that same short period of time 300 people will die and another 620 will be born. It takes me perhaps half an hour to write a text: here I sit, concentrating on my computer, books piled up beside me, ideas in my head, the scenery passing by outside my window. Everything seems perfectly normal all around me; and yet, during these thirty minutes, 3,000 people have died and 6,200 have just seen the light of the world for the first time.
Where are all those thousands of families who have just begun to weep over the loss of some dear one, or else laugh at the arrival of a son, grandson or brother? I stop and reflect for a while: perhaps many of these deaths are reaching the end of a long, painful sickness, and some persons are relieved that the Angel has come for them. Besides these, in all certainty hundreds of children who have just been born will be abandoned in a minute and transferred to the death statistics before I finish this text.
What a thought! A simple statistic that I came upon by chance and all of a sudden I can feel all those losses and encounters, smiles and tears. How many are leaving this life, alone in their rooms, without anyone realizing what is going on? How many will be born in secret, only to be abandoned at the door of shelters or convents? And then I reflect that I was part of the birth statistics and one day I will be included in the toll of the dead. How good that is to be fully aware that I am going to die. Ever since I took the road to Santiago I have understood that although life goes on and we are eternal, one day this existence will come to an end.
People think very little about death. They spend their lives worried about really absurd things, putting things off and leaving important moments aside. They risk nothing because they believe that is dangerous. They grumble a lot, but act like cowards when it is time to take certain steps. They want everything to change, but they themselves refuse to change. If they thought a little more about death, they would never fail to make that telephone call that they have been putting off. They would be a little more crazy. They would not be afraid of the end of this incarnation because you cannot be afraid of something that is going to happen anyway.
The Indians say: "Today is as good a day as any other to leave this world ." And a sorcerer once remarked: "May death be always sitting beside you. That way, when you have to do something important, it will give you the strength and courage you need." I hope, reader, that you have accompanied me this far. It would be silly to let the subject scare you, because sooner or later we are all going to die. And only those who accept this are prepared for life."
